Leslie Nunez shares her Top 10 coping skills!

  Leslie shared some great coping skills she uses when she feels anxious or upset.  What a great list and she told me they really help her in a bunch of situations.  Give her a shout out or reach out to her if you want to talk with her about them. Way to go, Leslie for sharing with your fellow students to encourage them to use them too! Leslie's Top 10 Coping Skills 1.   Deep breathing  - '5 fingers' or 'square' breathing exercises- calms her down. 2.   Practices sharing how she feels  especially with her parents - she feels relieved when she shares. 3.   Listens to music and looks at photos  that make her happy - like googling beach pictures. 4.   Talks to someone  (like Miss Kim) - a place to safely share her feelings and get them out. 5.   Zooms with friends  - helps her stay connected to her friends and when she feels isolated at home.  6.   Watch's a scary movie with a friend  - screaming and laughing together is fun! 7.   Dances & twirls around her roo
